What this PDF editor can do

This free editor is designed for quick document corrections, annotations and signatures. It can add new text anywhere, visually replace selectable text by covering it with a white rectangle and placing new text, add freehand drawings and place a hand-drawn signature. Page content is processed locally for privacy. Cover-and-replace does not securely redact or remove the underlying original text, and a drawn signature is not a cryptographic digital signature.

Why can’t some PDF text be selected?

Some PDFs are scans or flattened images rather than documents containing text objects. You can still add text, drawings and signatures to those pages, but changing words inside the image requires optical character recognition (OCR).

Does replacing text remove the original text?

No. The original text may remain in the PDF beneath the white cover. Do not use this feature to redact sensitive information.

Is the handwritten signature digitally certified?

No. It adds a drawn signature image; it does not create a certificate-based digital signature.

Does replacing text reflow the paragraph?

No. PDF pages use fixed coordinates rather than Word-style flowing paragraphs. Keep replacement text close to the original length for the best result.
